When a Commercial Fails Its Mission

Pepsi has a new commercial, have you heard it? Papapapapa, papapapapa, etc. They failed miserably. Why? Because it makes me think of COCA-COLA, not Pepsi. Each and every time, I think Coke. The music just smacks of Coca-cola, certainly not Pepsi.

Coke Coke Coke Coke Coke.

Same thing happened years ago, with a Mazda commercial, I think it was. Two cars, black and white, the black following the white on a street, and you hear the song,

"Me and my shadow, strolling down the avenue!"

Failure! It made me think of the Dodge Shadow each and every time. Not Mazda. Somebody just wasn't thinking...
