Working on a Crochet Mario Brothers Star Blankie

For one of my son's friend, who may Some Day fall in love and Some Day get married, and Some Day even have a baby. He really likes Mario Brothers, so a blankie seems like a good idea for when I'm wanting to do mindless crochet. I'm using Knit Picks Brava™Sport yarn. I sure hope Son's Friend likes it. I am wondering if he might think I'm going to play Matchmaker or something, haha!
