How do I hate the sound of the CMA this year? Let me describe the sound: it's UGH, BLECH, YUCK!!
In fact, double yuck! It's just awful! I don't want to hear it at all. The sound quality is poor and it's been compressed. You can't hear the guitars, the voices sound flat (not the notes, the quality) and in general, lackluster.
I have nothing good to say about the sound. I should be hearing fiddles, because I SEE THEM, but other than a band playing Charlie Daniels' The Devil Went Down to Georgia, and it sounded just horrific, there is nothing. I can't believe that ABC, a large company with kabulillions of money, would permit the sound to be so dead. Shame on them.
