Christmas Isn't Over

The Christmas Season isn't over. We start celebrating after Thanksgiving and finish on January 6th, which is Three Kings Day. We celebrate the worshiping of the wise men, who searched and found the Christ child. And just in case, the Twelve Days of Christmas take place between Christmas and January 6th.

And, it even extends further. If on Three Kings Day you receive a surprise, a group of carolers, then 8 days later you must go to their home and sing to them, too. It's a long party, and of course, retailers love us because we have the longest Christmas season in the world, so I've been told.
I like the caroling, I like caroling, I like the hymns at Church, the lovely traditional music we hear playing softly in houses, in stores, in town squares, it's just wonderful to celebrate the birth of our Savior, regardless He wasn't really born in December. I don't need a specific day to celebrate His birth and His life in mine.

I haven't bought any refreshments in case people from our church bring us a "caroling" which usually happens December 29th to 31st. One never knows, and they like to wake us up at 2 a.m. Once they showed up around 4. I really have something to say about that! Me, I told them, if they didn't let us know beforehand, they don't get any homemade cookies!

My sister Nelly is visiting from Alabama and she always shakes everything up, and since my twin is not here, nor my daughter, who is always game for an adventure, it's fallen to me to be her partner in crime. I'm exhausted, although she's been considerate of my health and not demanded things that were too hard on me. :)  I think I'll keep her. She leaves on Saturday at 8, so we only have tomorrow left to hit the beach! :)  :)  :) And bake cookies and one more pumpkin pie.

Yes, Cat, and I've been answering them, too. Yahoo is having trouble with their emails system. Some messages get through a day or so later.
