Lone Flower Before the Storm

I went to the back yard today, just to take a look at the day before the strong winds started on account of Hurricane Earl, which didn't go north as expected.  I hope it will decide to go higher now.  My aunt is in Culebra Island, very close to the US Virgin Islands, and they are getting a lot of wind and rain already.

Are you OK? I see the storm is hitting San Juan now. We are sailing West as fast as possible. We were supposed to be in St. Thomas this week, but going to Grand Cayman and Cozumel instead.

Prayers are with you and the rest of San Juan.

Hugs,
Lois

Hello, Lois. We're fine. We got hurricane-strength gusts of wind, mostly tropical storm-strength gusts, and at least here in the metro area, which is where I live, no terrible damage, no flying debris, we didn't need to board up the glass sliding doors. My, what a run-on sentence! ;)

How are you all doing, did you outrun the hurricane?

We are now waiting for T.S. Fiona, but it's disorganized and will just give us rain, mostly, if it continues like that, so we have to watch the creeks and rivers for flash flooding.

Thanks for asking!
