Life and Crochet

I want to finish the shawl for my client's mother, but was told that she is not doing well and I have a feeling she is not going to last very long.  There was such a note of finality in my client's voice when he spoke about her condition.  It makes me sad, but I'm going to finish that shawl, and if she won't be able to use it, then I'll donate it in her name to a homeless shelter or give it to a cancer patient.

I'm probably going to Boston next month or in March, so I'll need to make myself a hat and scarf, too.  I'll post pictures soon of my stuff.  This is something I need because winter clothes are not in abundance in Puerto Rico to begin with, and by this time, they are probably sold out.  Besides, I can make it for a fraction of the cost, and I'll have a reasonable hat.  If I have time, I'll probably make myself a fancier hat that a plain loom knitted hat, but for now, I'll settle for just not freezing when I'm in Boston.

Sheesh!  I mean, ANYTHING under 78ºF is cold to me, so I'm going to bundle up!
