Okay, I've tried to make this picture brighter, in hopes that people can see the poncho better. Please let me know if you can see this poncho! Thanks! This poncho is a charity project made from donated squares from members of Crochet Partners. :)

Miser Bags

Foto from Beadwrangler.com
Well, I didn't know what miser bags were, so I did a search and here is what I found:
http://www.somewhereintime.tv/antiques/miser.html
and a crochet pattern for one:

Here are some beautiful examples of miser bags:

Apparently, the purpose was to make it difficult to reach your money. Why, I don't quite understand, but, they *are* beautiful.

Lunar Eclipse
Is anybody watching the lunar eclipse? I'm taking pictures with my cheap camera, which I'll post later on....
UPDATE:
I took pictures of the lunar eclipse. My camera could never do it justice, but hey, I spent a wonderful time with my family and friends and it was really something to behold!
You can see my pictures here:

Vi el eclipse lunar... fue bello! Mi cámara no pudo captar la belleza pero lo tengo, y sobre todo, tengo el recuerdo de pasarla bien con mi familia y amistades viendo esta maravilla del Señor. Puedes ver mis fotos aquí:

Crochet Art for Sale, but not by me!
Hey, I didn't have to go pick Danny up at school today, so I've been exploring the internet looking for crochet art, crocheted art, art of crochet, inspiring crochet, inspired crochet art... I think you all understand by now. Some people want to sell their crochet. Good for you! But, you need to find your target audience. These people seem to have found theirs. Take a look at this: CLICK HERE As one of my favorite cartoon character says, "Wowsers!"

Potholder pocket

Okay, here's the pocket. See? It really needs to be between the corners. It's safer, but I am so good at hiding ends, that I'm NOT going to agravate myself by trying to find them.

Well, I started this on Monday and finished it today! I really needed a red potholder and I even put a pocket on it, so my thumb won't slip and get burned.
If I had to do this again, I would put the pocket BETWEEN corners, and not near the hanging loop.

IMPORTANT NOTICE ABOUT GROUPLY: READ AND TELL YOUR FRIENDS
From the owner of one of the Yahoo Groups I belong to:
Some of you may have received, or will receive,
an invitation to consolidate all of your group memberships
to a site called Grouply and obtain a Grouply address.
The Grouply address opens any Yahoo group to spam and
gives access to other information about our members.
For purposes of security, we will not accept Grouply
addresses and if you change your Yahoo address to Grouply
you will not be allowed to rejoin CP from that address.
Before we learned of the potential dangers, we approved a
few members who changed, and they will be notified
individually and if we cannot reach you, you will be
banned and you will have to rejoin under another address
Most Yahoo groups are banning Grouply addresses.

Look, if you want to use Grouply, go right ahead.
I don't feel comfortable giving out my Yahoo password
to a company I'm not familiar with, and if someone
unscrupulous wished to, could use it to access my groups.
If you like Grouply, go ahead and use it, and I
hope it works for you.
