Thanksgiving or Giving of Thanks?

I could start to philosophize on the subject, but I'm just too tired! But, I do think I could be happy just giving thanks to the Giver of Life over a peanut butter and jelly sandwich as well as over a turkey...

Guess the kids wouldn't think it the same. After all, there are some traditions, especially one that brings families together, which are a good thing and should be encouraged.

I hope your holiday is a good one, filled with laughter, much love, and many blessings from the One who gave it all, His life so we could live. God's best!

Funny Exchange With Oldest Son!

So, I'm here, checking out some stuff in our church's email, and I suddenly hear my oldest son, fuming at his iPod, saying something like:

"Oh, come on! you were working fine this morning!" Shakes his fist at it.
Me: "Son, you're talking to an innanimate object!"
Son: "I talk to them all the time at school!"
Me: Bursts out laughing.

Well! This is the son who plans on becoming a lawyer, poor guy!

I really like this photo, how he looks. Actually, he's waiting for my son to wave a laser light so that he can chase "the mouse!" all around the house. Not to worry, we carefully put him on the floor. I don't want him to have back problems!

I just read this from the REAL OWNER of Crochet Partners:

One of our members has received a message that purports to be from
 Crochet Partners and asks the recipient to go to

THIS IS NOT FROM OUR CROCHET PARTNERS GROUP.  IT IS SPAM FROM THAT
 Crochet Mastery group that has been discussed here before.

The message starts out "My parents-in-law are in town.  They come 
down for a short stay..." and goes on to urge you to find new 
friends etc at Crochet Partners.org."

Do not respond to this message.  Do not click that place that says 
you can opt out of receiving further messages from them.  
This only lets them know they have a live email address.

I don't know how wide-spread this is, but if you should get the
 message, delete it.
