Crochetville

So, I joined Crochetville recently, but still feel Lost in Space!

I don't know where to start, other than the "Introduce Yourself" page, and I was warmly welcomed there. Guess it needs time to get used to that. They have a whole different dynamic and culture from blogs or discussion lists, such as Crochet Partners. At some point I hope to find my way around the maze of posts. They all seem friendly!

Beautiful Prayer Shawl

So, this is a beautiful prayer shawl made using one of my patterns, for a half granny square.

Half Granny Square Pattern

This lady, Ro, made THIS BEAUTIFUL shawl, adding a scalloped edging all around.

I think the recipient is truly going to be blessed! Lovely work, Ro, and God bless you and your family!

I Like Daschunds!

This is Jeff Gordon, my husband's baby. We give him a bath, and he thinks he's entitled to kill the towel afterwards... And then, for good measure, he "kills" it again throughout the day. I sneak into the living room once he's asleep at night and take the towel away to the laundry basket.

Jeff is a miracle doggy. Ever since we got him, my husband has not needed to take any heart meds. :) "Praise God from whom ALL blessings flow!"

I Like Daschunds!

So, that's my foot and that's my baby... Ernie. He's 14 years old, and melts whenever I'm close, so it's hard to take a picture of him. I like to crochet. I even made a sweater for him, since, even though we DO live in the tropics, he gets cold around wintertime, it is just too large for him. I can't seem to make something his size. I'll try again after I have to make something "ugly" that a lady I know asked me to make.... That's something for another post, some other day.

Bella: Winner of the Toronto Film Festival

This seems to be a Must-See!

My First Teddy and Blanket

This is the first teddy I ever made. It took me a long time to make it because I had never worked in the round, without joining. This was a new thing, using markers at the end of each round! So, here it is. I had it on my web page, but people keep asking me for the pattern, and, since it's copyrighted, I don't give it out. I'll probably put it into my photo album, too.

Thanks for peeking at it!

Skinny Scarf (Dec. 16, 2005)

I made it with NoBo yarn, which I bought at Wal Mart. This is my first time making something with weird yarn....

It took me one evening to make it. I used a Size J hook and used double crochet stitches. Each row had 7. I make the stitches using the top loop instead of crocheting under both loops and had to go by feel instead of site. That's why I took so long.

God's blessings to you all!

Cell Phone Holder (July 23, 2005)

Here's a pic of the cell phone holder I made. The ones out there don't have a window, and I like to be able to see the time w/o having to take it out. And, I can see who is calling me if I haven't assigned the person a specific ringer. Image All that's missing is a border of Fun Fir or RH Lofty.

In case you're wondering why it seems to be so long, it's because at first it had a drawstring for closing, but it takes SOOOO long to undo it and get the phone out! I missed a lot of calls that way, and I'm too lazy to undo that just to shorten it. I simply removed the drawstring, and hey, it doesn't bother me, so don't let it bother you, haha! Okay, seriously, one of these days I'm going to write out the pattern. I made it using C&C Lustersheen.

Hope you have a great day and that the Lord Jesus Christ blesses you.

So, Yahoo! 360 Blogs is Closing, So...

I've decided to move my blog somewhere else. I'm only testing this place to see if I like it, ease of blogging and management. This is a test, this is only a test. If this were a REAL blog post, you'd be reading something very interesting right now instead of this drivel.

:-D
